Plays of the Day – 4/17

Another day with a lot of games due to inclement weather’s effect on the northern home games, so I would continue to check MLB.com all day to see if the games are actually being played.

CLE vs DET – 1:05p

This is a freebie game for all you guys out there who have saved up your Justin Verlander SR inserts, as he is one of the only pitchers available in the early games. Its going to be VERY cold, which means he will have more of an advantage than normal.

LAD vs SF – 3:45p

Hyun-Jin Ryu has had 3 really nice starts out of 4, averaging over 120 points for the good starts. With not many other players going at this time, he is a person I would add to my lineup. Adrian Gonzales continues to play out of his mind, and is a great play for at least 30 points.

STL vs WAS – 7:05p

Although Adam Wainwright has an insert in the game, he is just not all that available. If you have him, I would play him, as the Cardinals have played well this year behind him so far. He has averaged over 100 points in each of his starts so far.

GAME OF THE DAY – BOS vs CWS – 8:10p

Im going to be running out my army of Chris Sale and John Lester cards tonight, hopefully to make up against the drought of available players from the earlier games. Both pitchers are some of the best you can play, and you can bet their cards will be coveted going into tonight. I expect both to score well, but Im taking Lester over Sale.
