New Bunt Inserts Unwrapped – 9/25

Im a bit behind on a few of the inserts, and its clear that Bunt is really trying to push through to the end of the year with a bunch of releases. I think everyone is ready for the playoffs to start, and this week is the one last hurrah before it all goes down.

SR Adam Wainwright Signature Series

Collectability: Extreme
Playability: CaptureCapture

Personally, I cant believe it took this long for the red birds to get a sig. Cardinals fans must be happy with the choice, especially because he is really the face of the franchise this year. At 700 copies, Im pretty surprised he isnt more rare, as I think that he deserves at least a 450 level sig. Even more interesting is the 15 card guaranteed sig pack for 500k, which is equivalent to $79.99. Considering I can honestly buy the card on eBay for like 25 bucks, that’s a bit outrageous for someone like me. For others who are black and diamond VIPs, getting close to 500K per week in bonus coins, that is a more easy price to pay.

SR Nelson Cruz VIP Black Boost

Collectability: Extreme
Playability: CaptureCaptureCapture

I really dont like playing cards for hitters, even at this level, but now that its the playoffs, things are much different. Cruz hits a ton of HR, and does have a high enough average to consider playing this card. However, if you are really looking for a boost to pick up, you might just want to go nuts and spring for Trout fire. I think it will pay off bigger in the end. I bet the VIPs are pretty upset that this wasnt a pitcher like the previous few months.

Farewell Captain Series

Collectability: Strong+ to Extreme
Playability: Capture

The only reason I am covering this set is because of the circumstances surrounding it, as Jeter’s career celebration is about to come to a close. I think its clear that Jeter is one of the most beloved players of all time, and there are a lot of Bunters who will definitely be chasing this set. I dont blame them. If I were a Jeter fan, I would be all over these. Really cool looking set.

Check back for more updates once the post season cards hit packs.
