Just wanted to start a new segment that details some of the things that people do on the app that you need to be aware of. This is not all of the ways it can happen, and more of these will be coming. Here is the first installment.

VIP CARD SCAM

How it works: Someone will offer you a VIP card in a trade saying that you will gain access to the VIP rewards that come with it.

What you need to know: As of June, all VIP rewards are non-transferrable. Having the card will do nothing for you. Do not give up anything you wouldnt give up for a non-playable card with 1000 copies. It has SOME value, but not any that should be traded for inserts.

ITUNES GIFT CARD SCAM

How it works: Someone will offer you a crappy trade for top cards and offer a gift card code with the trade.

What you need to know: This is just a way to bait you into accepting a bad trade, and the card code will either never come or not work. Regardless of that, its against the app TOS to offer this, and it is not something you want to get involved with.

ACCOUNT TRADE SCAM

How it works: Someone will offer you an entire account or a password for a few nice cards.

What you need to know: the password will not work, the account will be locked, or something of that nature. This is also against the app TOS to offer this, and its not somethign you want to get involved with.

SHARE CARDS SCAM

How it works: Someone will send you a message to share cards to get awards.

What you need to know: They will likely use this to get you to send them cards and you will not get them back. Dont do this unless you have a pre-established friendship that you can trust the individual. NOTE: Once cards are traded with consent, they are gone unless the person trades them back.
